Update on $409,600.00 Allocation in 25th Ward

As an update to a previous post (see post here) on the allocation of $409,600.00 in expenditures by Alderwoman Dorothy Kirner in the 25th Ward in April-2009, the new Alderman Shane Cohn has reviewed the needs of the entire area and based on his discussions with the St. Louis Street Department, he has significantly cut-back on the expenditures to only those that are needed. Alderman Cohn has revised the allocation to $68,600.00 which includes:

Alderman Shane Cohn has stated that roads in poor condition that are not on this list, like Meramec from Gravois to the RR Tracks, are being reviewed with the Streets Department and that they are a priority and funds from the money not spent will be allocated to address the problem later down the road.

St. Mary’s High School (4701 South Grand Blvd.) has been selected as one of the sites for this years free tax prep service. Stop by on Saturday from 8:30 AM thru 11:30 AM on February 21 or February 28. All TAP Clients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Make sure you bring all of your W-2′s and financial paperwork!

$624,468.59 and $99,240.00….Ward Funds!

Are you interested in seeing what your Alderman are or are not spending money on in your Ward? The Capital Improvement Budgets are now posted under the “Resources” section of the website under the page labeled “Ward Funds.” The two Wards in the Dutchtown West Neighborhood Association (DWNA) focus area are the 25th and 15th Wards. As of 12/5/08 the 25th Ward has $624,468.59 and the 15th Ward has $99,240.00.
