Todd Waelterman, the St. Louis City Director of Streets, recently announced that the Department of Streets is experimenting with once-a-week trash pickup in the City of St. Louis in an effort to reduce expenses. Some of the 300 gallon trash receptacles will be replaced with 600 gallon receptacles to compensate.

The City of St. Louis Department of Streets Refuse Division has unveiled NEW refuse containers/bins for yard waste! There has been a few neighbors that have requested information on how to protest a businesses liquor license. The City of St. Louis provides a way in which a neighborhood or an individual can protest an application for a liquor licence, the renewal of a liquor licence, or the continuance of a liquor licence.

A few Dutchtown West Neighborhood Association (DWNA) neighbors got together this weekend and drove around the DWNA area to identify properties that are missing trees in front of their house on city property (in between the sidewalk and the street).

Yesterday, DWNA neighbors met to drive around our neighborhood and create a list of visible problems in our area to report to the Citizens Service Bureau (CSB), our Neighborhood Stabilization Officer (NSO), as well as our Alderman.

Today, neighbors from DWNA gathered together to briefly clean-up Amberg Park! We spent about 30 minutes picking up trash in the park and cleaning the area around the broken fountain. A few local neighborhood children even joined in on the clean-up efforts! See a few pictures below:
